Our privately run three-star superior hotel is situated right in the centre of Emsdetten. Our hotel disposes of 45 individually furnished guestrooms with a total of 80 beds, 33 rooms are designated non-smoker rooms.
The Lindenhof hotel captivates by its quiet, but central and easily accessible location. We hold an adequate number of free-of-charge parking facilities including garages, parking bays as well as coach
parking areas available.

The history of Hotel Restaurant Lindenhof
- 1912
- The house is built. Ever since then it has been the housing of the "Lindenhof" restaurant.
- 1946
- Bernhard Kortmöller, who owns the beer store directly opposite, reluctantly has to bear that the Lindenhof prefers a different sort of beer than his. After a time of careful consideration he finally decides to buy the house to definitely eliminate the problem. He later gives it to his two daughters, Otti Kortmöller and Klementine Hankh. They start to operate the hotel, at first equipped with only four rooms.
- 1964
- After his training as a cook at the Rheinischer Hof (Münster) and gaining his first practical experiences, a.o. on the Norddeutsche Lloyd Bremen, Udo Hankh joins his mother's hotel business.
- 1968
- They buy the neighouring building (house of the accountant general of the Schilgen textile company) to expand the Lindenhof hotel with 7 more rooms.
- 1979
- Further nine guest rooms are newly created in the mansion of the textile manufacturer Middelhoff, these days the Hankh house.
- 1991
- The Lindenhof is awarded a three-star superior rating by the German Hotel and Catering Federation (DEHOGA)
- 2003
- Following his time of apprenticeship, Udo Hankh jun. joins his parents Renate und Udo for managing the Lindenhof hotel and restaurant.
- 2006
- 60 year anniversary under the management of the founding Hankh family
- 2007
- After a complex renovation of the former living and business home (year of completion 1906) of the beer and milk supplier Bernhard Kortmöller, 7 very modern superior rooms with pantry kitchen are added to the Lindenhof complex
- 2009
- Conference room built with an area of 42 m2
- 2011
- Construction of new bedroom block in garden with 14 superior rooms
- 2012
- The Lindenhof is awarded a three-star superior rating by the German Hotel and Catering Federation (DEHOGA)
- 2013
- Awarded the quality mark " Quality of Service Germany", Level 1 from the North Rhine-Westphalia Tourism Board
