The history of Hotel Restaurant Lindenhof

The house is built. Ever since then it has been the housing of the "Lindenhof" restaurant.
Bernhard Kortmöller, who owns the beer store directly opposite, reluctantly has to bear that the Lindenhof prefers a different sort of beer than his. After a time of careful consideration he finally decides to buy the house to definitely eliminate the problem. He later gives it to his two daughters, Otti Kortmöller and Klementine Hankh. They start to operate the hotel, at first equipped with only four rooms.
After his training as a cook at the Rheinischer Hof (Münster) and gaining his first practical experiences, a.o. on the Norddeutsche Lloyd Bremen, Udo Hankh joins his mother's hotel business.
They buy the neighouring building (house of the accountant general of the Schilgen textile company) to expand the Lindenhof hotel with 7 more rooms.
Further nine guest rooms are newly created in the mansion of the textile manufacturer Middelhoff, these days the Hankh house.
The Lindenhof is awarded a three-star superior rating by the German Hotel and Catering Federation (DEHOGA)
